Manual methods for roughness testing are slow and error prone, especially when the measuring head must be placed manually onto the paper sample. This is where the new L&W Bendtsen Tester, a fast and compact unit, comes in. There are no loose parts which can affect the reliability and repeatability of the roughness and compressibility measurements.

Easy to operate
The new L&W Bendtsen Tester is designed for maximum user comfort and convenience. Once the measuring sequence is set, all the operator has to do is to insert the paper sample into the measuring gap. A sensor detects the paper and starts a measurement. The paper sample is automatically bought in contact with the measuring head according to the standard constant contact pressure of 98 kPa. The paper sample is manually moved to the next position, until all measurements are performed. The results are presented on an easy-to-read digital display and recorded on the built-in printer. The results can also be transferred to a laboratory computer via the built-in interface.
